What Does It Take To Be An ICT Student?

What does it take to be an ICT Student?
What does it take to be an ICT student? A tough question huh? Being a 4th Year Student of the ICT is very very hard! And You will do things you don’t expect that you can do and you can make things you don’t really make in your daily life :D
In our ICT class, I have done so many things that made our high school life so interesting. Here are some stuff that I did within my ICT class S.Y. 2011-2012:
1st grading: Won the Nutri-Jingle contest. Learned about the Internet and so much more.
2nd grading: Learned how to use the different kinds of TAGS which can be used to create a web page.
3rd grading: to promote the Heritage City of Vigan through making a Web Page. Actually we stayed over in a house of our group mate just to finish our web page. And we did it.
4th grading: Learned all about the things to know with Adobe Photoshop. We were given a task to do something with this Photoshop and I did it! J

These are the things that made my high school life so memorable. We will never forget that we were once a 4th year ICT student of Ilocos Sur National High School.. J
For the Next ICT Students of Mrs. Vera Cruz, GOOD LUCK!!! J

My Dream, My Future.

My Dream, My Future
We all have dreams in life. To be an artist, a doctor, a nurse, an engineer or other professions that is very much popular in the ears of people, but for me? I want to be a Teacher. J
I want to be a teacher because I can see how challenging it is to be one of them. I can see how they work every day as if they are still studying and I can see how they can inspire so many people in one day… I am one of those people they have inspired. I really do admire them. With their every day work, their lovely advises and their warm welcomes, there is nothing for them not to be inspired of.
I love it when in the future; I would be just like them. I can touch the life of so many people and I will be surrounded of very young and fresh faces. I can share them my knowledge and what I know. I can give them pieces of advise when they need me and I would help them when they are in need of something.
It would be so awesome when this dream can be turned into reality. I will just do my best to reach this dream and I will do everything just to make this dream come true.

Change, It Starts With Me

Change: It Starts With Me.
Change is all around us. It happens in just a blink of an eye. In your pocket, in your bathroom, in your bedroom or even in your classroom, CHANGE still EXISTS. I mean, isn’t it obvious? It’s everywhere. Not only things can change but even our emotions and what we are capable of doing. Even our minds change every second. But I see a thing that hasn’t been changed for a quite long time now, and it’s our ECONOMY and our Country’s STANDING.
As a very young member of our republic, I can see our current standing and it is not very satisfying. We are still in need of a lot of things to be very competitive worldwide. Not only by means of production but by means of Economy and even our Education.
If I’m not satisfied and if I think that something is wrong, I am willing to change it for the betterment of our country. In every simple things that we can do, we are helping our country in its goal to be just like other countries in the world who are very much successful and very well-known.
I can change my attitude and be more country centered. I want to change myself so that I can be a role model and a leader to my fellow youth. If I can do this kind of thing, maybe we can all do it. If we work hand in hand to resolve what I think is the downfall of this country, we can do it.
I am the start of CHANGE… and so are YOU…

REFLECTION 3rd GRADING

REFLECTION(3rd Grading period)

On our Third Grading Period, we experienced and learned a lot of things related to WEB DESIGNING.
Its my first time to create a Web Page with the use of the NOTEPAD. Its actually quite hard because you have to put a lot of tags in your notepad. For every detail of your web, there is a corresponding tag that will be used on it.
We had a project, its to create a Web Page and our topic was about THE FAMOUS PEOPLE and LOCAL HEROES of VIGAN CITY. We had a lot of things to do before we have to finish it. First was to make an outline of it through a scrapbook. We interviewed people so that we can gather a lot of information that we can put into our project. We stayed over on the house of our group mate just to gather much information for our topic.
In the actual making of the Web Design, we were hardened up because we had a lot of trouble with the tags we are putting. Again, we slept over the house of  the one of our group mate to finish it. After that night, Ta-dah!! We are done with our Web Design. Its not that beautiful and organized but at least, we did it. J
We are ending up again 3rd grading… next up… 4th, the last chapter of our High School Life. J

ESSENCE OF CHRISTMAS

THE ESSENCE OF CHRISTMAS

Christmas is not all about presents, toys, jewelries, dresses, money and others. It’s all about giving, sharing, and loving the people around us especially the needy. Loving our fellowmen is the TRUE ESSENCE OF CHRISTMAS.
If we are only receiving on this kind of Holiday, we are only showing that we are selfish. We are showing that we are in need of earthly things. We are only showing that we don’t care for others. We are only showing that we don’t appreciate and care for the creations of GOD.
Always bear in mind that Christmas is not only for receiving, rather it is for giving and sharing what we think is needed by the people around us. Sharing or giving is much better than receiving for giving is one kind of being responsible on how you take care of the creations of GOD. Through sharing and giving, we are giving them a part of us, a part of what  we have and a part of who we are.
Christmas is not only for one day. Everyday is Christmas. So don’t forget to share a part of yourself on the needy.

KEEPING IN MIND OUR MOTHER TOUNGE

KEEPING IN MIND OUR MOTHER TOUNGE

A person can learn a language in his/her choice, but I think it is more vital to learn more about your native words first before the other Dialects.
There are so many languages in the world. English, French, Italian, Spanish, Swedish, Chinese, etc. but for me, the best language ever existing is our local language which is “ILOCO”. Even thou you know other dialects, when you are at your hometown, you must know your local language. You’re knowledge about this other dialects is worthless if you don’t even know your MOTHER TONGUE.
The “ILOCO” is a very rich dialect. It has its festivities which makes it exist even in this time. This dialect is so old, and that’s why it’s a very significant part on the culture of the ILOCANOS. Daniw, Dallot, Dung-aw and others are the festivities that this dialect promotes. The local government advertises this festivities to the nation so that the ILOCO will be well known nationwide.
If we Ilocanos will use our own dialect, this only show that we are proud of where we come from, what are we and who we are.
KEEP IN MIND YOUR MOTHER TOUNGE!!

NEW YEAR, NEW ME

NEW YEAR, NEW ME

Saying goodbye is not an easy thing, but if it’s for your own good, just let it go… Changing for the better is worth it. Everyone appreciates what you’re doing and you can have a lot of good benefit on it.
Through out the year, people can notice that you are having slight issues about yourself. You can never please everybody. You can’t notice it but for them your attitude and personality is a big deal. So if they tell you that you have something to change about yourself, don’t think twice to do it.
I have been quirky in a bad way last 2011 so this 2012. I have decided that I will still be quirky, but now, its in a good way… A lot of my friends told me that I have hurt their feelings when I put a joke on them. That’s why I am changing my attitude in a good way. I really love to see my friends smiling so maybe I will still put up jokes but I will not hurt their feelings anymore.
At the start of the year, you should have strengthened your resolution so that you can easily be in touch with your new you.
GOOD LUCK WITH THE NEW YOU!!! J

Aren’t you tired of having the same thing over and over again? Are you okay with the same treatment? Are you okay with something retarded? If not, then DARE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
People are people, and sometimes we change our minds. We change things that we know is not good for ourselves. If you think you are on the same page almost every time, don’t be scared to Make a Difference, a Good Difference which can lead you to success. Making a difference is good for someone who’s growing up. You make a difference with your self. Be Fearless to make a difference between your childish state to be matured. Being childish will not be necessary on your maturity. Learn to speak for yourself and live for what you know and for what you feel. MAKING A DIFFERENCE is good for you. You won’t be lying on the shadow of someone else. And this will make you who you are and you will STAND OUT with everyone else.
For once, you are focusing on yourself, on what you want and what you think is right. If you are stuck on your DREAMS and AMBITIONS, feel FREE to change things and make it into REALITY. Be the DESIGNER of your own CATASTROPHY.

CLIMATE CHANGE

CLIMATE CHANGE

Can’t you notice the climate on our generation? It’s very different from the climate of the generations that have passed. In the generations that have left, the climate from January to May is warm. From June to September, it’s wet. And from October to December, it’s cold. But on our generation, the climate is unpredictable. Do you know why? It’s because of CLIMATE CHANGE.
We are experiencing this phenomenon because of us. We lack discipline and we are exploiting our environment. We are releasing wastes that can destroy the ozone layer which protects us from the rays of sun and it also helps us to release gaseous elements which can harm the Human Raise. As years pass by, the ozone layer is becoming thinner and thinner. Scientists are very nervous because we cannot restore the damage that we have already caused. Different countries are suffering from this. They are not expecting a calamity to come but then, there it is. Like in Japan, they are having a good weather then suddenly, the ground started to shake. After some moment a big wave is going to hit the shore. Unexpected right?
If we cannot restore the old shape of the ozone layer, maybe we can prevent it from becoming thinner. We can do it by having SELF DISCIPLINE and LOVING OUR ENVIRONMENT. Simple things like observing cleanliness, burying plastics and recycling can do a lot to retain its shape.
If only we can all do the proper disposal of wastes, we can achieve to save our planet EARTH from this occurrence. REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE!

MY TEACHER MY HERO

MY TEACHER, MY HERO

A teacher’s work does not last for a day, rather it is for a life time. Despite their sacrifices in teaching, they are still willing to be our 2nd parents, Friend and our guide for the better future.

Teaching, the highest among the professions in the world, without teachers, there would be no Doctors, Architects, Engineers, Nurses, Midwifes and all profession that you could ever think of. Students say that Schooling is hard, but did it ever come to their minds that the work of our teachers are nothing compared to our hardships. They mold us in order to understand life. They train us in order to be prepared for the future. They teach us in order to learn and they understand us because they care.

In many ways, we can show them that we love them… by simply respecting them, they know that they are loved. With this respect, you can create a very strong bond between you and your teacher. And with this great bond, maybe you can create a big Family. J

My teacher, you really are my hero. You touch the hearts of billions of children. With that very special talent… Maybe you can change the world.

Chemergy: Chemistry and Science Clubbing in Synergy

Chemergy: Chemistry and Science Clubbing in Synergy

Chemistry is the science of matter, especially its properties, structure, composition, behavior, reactions, interactions and the changes it undergoes. Chemistry is sometimes called "the central science" because it connects physics with othernatural sciences such as astronomy, geology and biology.

Chemistry is a very important branch of science which can help us in our daily lives. Without it, the world will be in a very unstable position and I think there will be no progress In the sense that we are not in position to make a move anymore. The world’s technology as we know it is very complicated. With the gadgets, drugs and other science related products are most likely produced by chemistry. And this things are needed by man in order to live easily and to live longer.

Chemistry really is a very important part of our society, with the help of science clubbing and science teachers… I think that chemistry can be developed and be well known throughout the years.

GOODBYE 1st Grading, say HELLO to 2nd Grading

GOODBYE 1st Grading, say HELLO to 2nd Grading

Thank God 1st grading have already ended. For me, it was so hard… to catch up with my lessons, to do my blogs, to do my assignments, review and so many other things… but despite all these challenges, I enjoyed it…
I enjoyed every moment with my classmates on the ICT room, with the kulitans and with the bonding moments with our teacher. Our subject T.L.E. also brought something that I have not noticed on the past years of my life, and that is being creative. I never knew that I have that characteristic… I discovered this when we had our contest for NUTRI JINGLE… and fortunately we were the champions… I never thought that a simple student like me can create such performance… after this I had a lot of problems related to my grades, my adviser told me I have low grades but I think I can pull it off on the next grading period… I will just consider this problem a challenge so that I can do better on my grades this coming grading period…
Moving on, I will treasure this discovery through the rest of my life. I am so thankful that I am a student of such good class… I am going to do my best to prove that my grades have nothing to do with this talent J

SONA: what's it for??

The State Of the Nation Address or the SONA is given by the President every last week of the month of July. It is given to update all the country people on what is happening to the current administration and what’s happening to the country’s economy.
The SONA which was given by President Benigno Simeon Aquino on the 25th day of July at Batasang Pambansa Complex, Quezon City was very remarkable. He managed to discuss his SONA without reading anything but, is the SONA enough to please everyone?
For me, the SONA of our current administration was slight offensive. He is comparing the current administration from the past administration. As if he is showing that he is better than the last president of our country. Words aren’t enough to prove that he is better than the past administration. Words won’t do anything in the rising of our country. Why don’t he consider those people who are on the provinces. To those who are in the mountains and to those who are located on squatter areas. All he cares about is that WANG WANG… Do they harm you? Do they do harm on the Philippine economy? Instead of words, why don’t he move and focus on the weaknesses of our country. Instead of buying a new car for his pleasure, why don’t he help the needy? The money he spent on that car would have been enough to feed the hungry people on the squatter’s area of Manila. It would have been enough to provide school supplies on the mountain provinces. That money would have been enough to supply the medical problems of some hospitals.
If he would have thought for the value of that money he have spent for the car, there would be a Filipino who’s life is changed right now. If he would have used the money wisely, someone would not be suffering by this moment. If he would have thought for the needs of the Filipino people first, our country would be better.

MODERN DAY HEROES

Everyone considers someone as their hero… Who is your hero? Well, Let’s talk about mine.
I consider my MOTHER as my modern day hero because she does everything for me. She helps me with my daily life and without her, I don’t know what will I be… My mom gives me what I need. She gives me food, shelter, clothes and other things that you’ll need to survive in this world. She protects me from bad elements and she guides me through out my problems. She teaches me how to dream, and most of all, she teaches me how to fear GOD.
For me, that’s a hero… A good model and a good protector. I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for her. I wouldn’t have met my friends, my teachers and the people around me if it wasn’t for her. I wouldn discover the beauty of life if it wasn’t for her.
YOU, WHO IS YOUR MODERN DAY HERO???

BREASFEADING...

Breastfeeding is a form of supplementing the needs of a baby from birth to the age of 2.
Breastfeeding is good for the health of the baby. The milk that comes out from the mother has so many vitamins and minerals. It is good for the growth of the newly born child and it is prescribed by the doctors to mothers all over the world… It is also proven that the milk of the mother is much better than the commercial ones…  It makes the baby healthier. It is also proven that babies who have experienced breastfeeding has a higher IQ than babies who are not breastfed. It is also proven that if you breastfead your baby, he has the higher risk of protection on the leukemia. It can also reduce the food allergies that we may have…
It is recommended for the mommies that when they are breastfeeding their babies, they must eat a healthy balanced diet. They must not drink any kind of alcohol and they must not smoke in order that their kids may have a healthier breast milk.
Let’s promote breastfeeding to the world… it may have a better result in the world’s status… So that our babies will have a better future and their lives will be better..
PROMOTE BREASTFEADING TO THE WORLD, CORRECT, RIGHT AND EXCLUSIVE!!!
